| Using TerraSys™ |
Essentially, a work session with TerraSys is composed of four major phases:
| 1 | Data entry; | |
| 2 | Definition of a conceptual model of the ecosystem; | |
| 3 | Mathematical modelling; | |
| 4 | Interpretation of results. |
| Definition of the conceptual model |
|---|
The definition of the conceptual model is the central element of risk assessment work. In TerraSys™, the conceptual model not only designates the graphical representation of the ecosystem to be modelled; it also includes all the values of the variables required for modelling. It is the conceptual model that the ecological receptors potentially at risk are identified and the ecological interactions between the elements are defined.
